TAIHEN News!! 「タイヘンニュース!!」Ep 08 “HELP NEEDED STILL???”

March 28, 2015 at 7:39 am Leave a comment

Greetings everyone!! It’s time for another ranting posts from your ever so busy AFS admin, me! A few days back we posted a cry for help with translators, and a few individuals came forward to aid us with our crusade to finish the projects we have started naming:

1. Maou na Ore to Fushihime no Yubiwa

2. Haru to Natsu

3. Magikano

Yep, you’re not dreaming, there will be releases of our two staple projects very soon! No more waiting for another year for a release (we deeply apologize for that). for more “Goodie Taihen News”, our benefactor for Gou-dere has already provided aid for translations of two more chapters (15 & 16). We now have a complete translation for chapter 15 and chapter 16 will be done by next month (here’s crossing our fingers!). Also, a big shout out to our good friend Lessee, although he has retired, he still came through by leaving us a gift. He has sent us translations for Magikano ch 33, Urasai ch 5 & 6 and, Maji Bura ch 3!! You can feel sh#t flying all over the place. Thanks guys for all the love and support, although we’re not as big as those major scanlation groups, we are able to make it through somehow thanks to all your help.

On to the news for this month, as you guys will notice, the month of March is almost over and we have not yet made any releases. A lot of stuff had happened on the background this month and we’d like to put some of those things into light, let’s start with the monthly release, Okasu Bekarazu!! Junketsu Tokku!. An old friend offered to help in re-drawing OBJT a few weeks ago, but he hasn’t come up with the re-draws yet, it’s very likely that he’s busy with many other things, which is keeping him from finishing the work. But since it’s nearly a month, we may need to take action and go on ahead with the re-drawing ourselves so that we may be able to get chapter 10 out by April.

Another project, Maou na Ore to Fushihime no Yubiwa. We have received many feedbacks for this project and many of you want to see the ending of the manga, but due to our lack of translators this project had been in hiatus for more than half a year. Another group approached one of our admins and proposed a collaboration work for the project, and that we will split the work, one of the work the other group will provide is the translation. From what I understand is that they already had an agreement with the other admin, and somehow the agreement was still unclear for me. Now, here is where it got a bit messy; before the collab work was proposed to the other admin, we already received three applications for the translator position of Maou, and at the same time I mobilized the cleaner to clean raws of Maou. Weeks had passed and none of them had submitted a translation. After the realization that the two translators may not pull through, I sort of lost hope for the third translator. Now, a few days later (me thinking that the third translator may not submit a translation) I started talking to the members of the other group. We had some agreements and before the deal was closed, we both agreed to a condition. The condition was that if the translator will not submit a translation within the end of the month, the collab work will proceed, but if the translator did come up with a translation, we may have to continue the work on Maou ourselves. A few days later, the third translator came out with not just one, but three translations already in hand. So, yeah… Decisions, decisions… Me, thinking that the condition for us to continue working with the project was met, decided to proceed working on it. But before I finalized everything, I did try to have talks with the other group about the collab work, if they are still interested, although the roles have changed a bit. But sadly we were not able to come to terms and the whole agreement sort of crumbled away… It was later that I was informed that one of our admins was furious of the outcome. After all that has happened, I believe that we do owe the other group an apology.

On behalf of the AFS team, we deeply apologize to the individuals who have taken some of their time and effort to push the collab work with Maou na Ore to Fushihime no Yubiwa manga project. Although the incident may have left a bitter after taste, we hope that won’t hate us for it.

Sorry

As final words, we will work hard to finish Maou, in loving memory of one of our busiest and late great admins, Woahevil1. It was his pet project and he would have wanted us to finish the series for him.

Since the month is nearly over, we’ll keep the March calendar clean of our releases, in order for us to work on our projects and have an influx of release on April.

Maou na Ore to Fushihime no Yubiwa chapter 11 is already on final editing stages and will be released on April 1st along with the special Ye olde English speaking Iris version.

Okasu Bekarazu!! Junketsu Tokku! Release will be in time for Easter, so you guys will have you fill with Neko mimi girls by then!!

Tentative Project releases for April includes the following:

Gou-dere Bishoujo Nagihara Sora (AFS) ch 15

Haru to Natsu ch 18

Magikano ch 33

Urasai ch 05

Now you guys have a lot to look forward to this coming month!

If you guys didn’t see the project you like listed above and want to help it move along, you are very welcome to join us. We still need dedicated translators for our other projects, if you can translate, or you know somebody who can translate please help us out so that we can all enjoy reading till the ending of our favourite mangas.
