Last release, we received a message from a LEECHER complaining why do we have to pay for the translation, and he went on preaching that we should just get translators who translate for free, and he continued to claim that there are many out there. Well, for your information Mr. LEECHER who wants to remain anonymous because you’re too coward to announce even your fake name, THERE IS NO TRUTH TO YOUR CLAIM THAT THERE ARE MANY FREE TRANSLATORS OUT THERE!! If there are tons of translators laying around ready to work with us, we won’t be having this conversation, are we? The thing is, JP translators are a rare breed, and finding one who will stick to your cause till the very end is even more rare! If you read mangas, I bet you often see those annoying ads where the scanlation group post their recruitment page looking for translators. Oh yeah, you’re the kind of jerk who just skips over those pages and just read the manga and then bitch about slow releases and donations because you’re just a jerk! Scanlations don’t just drop from the sky into our laps and we just post them, a lot of our staff dedicate their time working on our releases because we want to share mangas for you to enjoy, and we don’t even get paid to do it. We used to have a team of translators, but the thing is, when a translator graduates from school, gets a job, or gets married they retire leaving our group with no translators. Translators are the functioning heart of a scanlation group, you see. And without them, a group just simply dies. Actually, our benefactor, Goblinat only funded the Okasu Bekarazu!! Junketsu Tokku! series because he wants to read the whole thing. But unfortunately, THERE IS NO ENGLISH VERSION OF IT!! He paid for the raws and the translations and he contracted our group to produce the scanlation, we can just easily keep the product to ourselves, but since all of us wanted to share it with you guys, so we are releasing it. Now mind you, many of our staff including our benefactor are only students, and many of them don’t have work and where do you think our benefactor is getting the money to pay for the translations? His lunch money and his college fund of course. Would you be so heartless not to share his burden?
We’re not asking for a definite amount of money, and we are not forcing you guys to donate, but if you can find it in your hearts to send Goblinat even if it’s just petty change to help him fund this project is greatly appreciated.
