Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar

Kenshi has started to settle into his new life in Geminar in the holy land, in a very special academy, after having a run-in with the princess of the Shtrayu Empire in Geminar, Lashara Earth XXVIII, causing him to become her servant. Unfortunately (fortunately?), he has become a number one hot item with the girls at the holy land and thus is always harassed by them! But what is Kenshi doing here, why is here and will he ever be able to go home? Maybe find out by getting it HERE. What did you say? The link is not working!? Okay, then use this one HERE or read it first HERE.

Finally we are able to release the first ever chapter of the manga version of Tenchi muyo! War on geminar also known as Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari in japan. Like i said in the comments in the release, we had trouble deciding between the 2 titles, but we decided on Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar because its mostly know as that in English speaking countries. So anyway, a lot of us here (especially B-werx and I XD) love Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar and thought it was appalling that it wasn’t translated, so we decided to do it ourselves. We will continue this project hopefully to the end of the 2 volumes. So, even though this title got stuck at QC’ing, we all managed to pull through and finally got this out! Thanks to everyone who helped! Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this release as much as we did and feel free to comment on any problems below!

I will also use this post to talk about the status of Tokkou Maid Thunder! Unfortunately due to real life problems, our translator, Gyudon, who is translating both Tokkou Maid Thunder and Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar, was unable to complete the translation by last weeks release date. Until he sorts out his real life problems, we won’t be able to continue on work of Tokkou Maid Thunder! Hopefully (fingers crossed) we will release it by the end of this week.

Lastly, be on the lookout for old and new (!!!) projects to be released in the coming weeks!

Till next time, Peace out!

Thank you guys for picking up this manga. I’ve seen the anime which was pretty good and heard that the events in the manga were a bit different, so I was curious to read it.

Thank you again for all your hard work!

Actually Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari is the much wider known name not that retarded “Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar” nonsense. Should have listened to LastTheories…

    …just saying.

Well, it would help as to why as its retarded. Secondly we used both names in all of it, so that even the people that don’t know one or the other name can understand what it is. We used Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar for the title and Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari for batoto etc… Lastly, I don’t think too many people care.

I hate to sound like a nitpicker & I have no idea how Funimation handled the everyone’s names, but the official Japanese site Seikishi.com (appears to be dead now) had most of the cast written differently than how you guys handled them. Like Rashara was written with an “L”, Messiah was written as Mexiah, etc. [Phonic spellings?] Isekai’s wikipedia page has their known ‘correct’ names.

As for Isekai vs Geminar, I doubt most of us care. Thou Geminar would probably be best because newcomers to the series know it at Geminar and not Isekai.

To start off, the translator who worked on Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari did not see any form of previous media of the series and all translations of the names were purely based on the original Japanese texts used in the manga. As you may well know, the Japanese Katakana has its limitations, unlike the English alphabet. In the case of the name Lashara (ラシャラ – Rashara), since there is literally no letter ‘L’ it is easy to mistake it for ‘R’ since it is used to represent the ‘L’ sound in Japanese. The same case can be said with Mexiah (メザイア – Mezaia) as there is no letter ‘X’ in Japanese. As for Wahanly (ワウアンリー – Wauanri), the name even in Japanese is spelled as ‘ワウ’ (WAU), but for some reason in the anime the name is pronounced as ‘Wan’. The only reason I could think of as to why the names are spelled the way they are is to make them look/sound alien-like in a way.
