Here’s a quick announcement to all out regular visitors. Some of you may not know of this, but a few days ago a very popular file hosting site was taken down by the FBI and is currently causing a huge wave on the internet, and because of this many file hosting sites have become very cautious and are starting to take down a lot of stuff that would put their sites at risk. And may file hosting sites are on the FBI line up to be dealt with, that means the site that houses all the AFS releases is in jeopardy and it is possible that it too will be out for a while. With that said all the AFS release archive will be down for a while until this issue clears up or till we find a suitable replacement site that will house all our releases. We’ll try to work on our IRC channel so that some of the releases will still be available for those who can use it.

Keep on visiting guys, we will still put out our releases, but we may only put it up for a limited time. I hope things will get back to normal soon.

You can upload your releases to mangatraders.

It’s one of the options I’m looking at, but before anybody can get to the releases they must be a member of Mangatraders at least.

Well it’s not a problem since it’s free and quite easy.Besides I believe most people who read manga is a member of MT already since it’s a well known site and the number one place to download manga. The only downside is the download speed of the site is a bit slow but that’s not a big issue imo.

Anıther alternative could be uploading the releases to stoptazmo which doesn’t require membership to download the mangas.

Mediafire is another alternative that is now popular with alot of scanlator groups.

We were actually using that service from the start, but they are being probed by the FBI at the moment, so there some possibilities of sudden disappearance of our stuff there. But this will only be temporary until the MegaUpload issue dies down (hopefully)

I think mediafire is fine for now but another sugestion I can give is create a filesonic account with a public username and password only available here and upload it there.

It seems you guys are already using mediafire but accidentally set everything to private. I am unable to dl any of your releases. Thought mediafire also went the filesonic way at first but I am still able to dl from mediafire links from other scanlatore groups. Another alternative on top of mediafire is depositefiles which is also widely used by alot of scanlator groups.

Best backup is probably going the underground route “irc”. You dont really have to set up anything extra and it should be very easy to find a bot provider since. If you guys have a couputer on most of the time than you probably don’t need a bot provider either. I can probably help you guys out with this if you guys are interested.

We’ll try all that and see which works best. But at the moment, you can find some of our releases archive in Manga Traders
